Sheryl L. Prewitt-Ronan, has worked for Burr, Pease & Kurtz as a paralegal for nearly 38 years. She has been with Burr, Pease & Kurtz since 1974. Her excellent organizational and interpersonal skills have benefited both the firm and its clients. She has extensive experience in collections, foreclosures, real estate, and bankruptcy, and litigation experience in the areas of personal injury, environmental, commercial, insurance defense, and construction.
Sheryl is a life-long Alaskan who enjoys reading, long walks with her dog Posey, hiking with friends and family, and gardening. She enjoys passing along the knowledge she learned while becoming a Master Gardener.
Cheri has been with Burr, Pease & Kurtz since 2003 and has been a legal secretary since 1971- with 42 years experience in Florida, Illinois and Alaska. She drove from Fort Lauderdale to Anchorage in 1989 in her little red pickup truck with a parrot in the front seat in what proved to be an amazing trip across the country! She has experience in litigation, probate, corporate, workers’ compensation and employment related matters and has completed 31 credit hours towards a paralegal certificate at the University of Alaska at Anchorage. Cheri graduated from Miami Norland Sr. High School in Florida. She has been a member of the Anchorage and National Associations of Legal Secretaries, and has previously volunteered for many years working on the local level for the Miss America pageant in Florida and Illinois; Cheri loves spending time with her 23 year old son Shawn and their pets Mae and Lupin, a black lab and sheltie/husky mix. Her other interests include traveling and photography.
